The official domains changed
The Immigration Department announced that the electronic visa portal moved to two domains at 8am on 11 November 2024. Those domains are thithucdientu.gov.vn and evisa.gov.vn 1.
Old instructions may point to a former government portal. Start at immigration.gov.vn or use one of the two current domains named in the notice 1.
Official fee and validity
The government portal lists US$25 for a single-entry e-Visa and US$50 for multiple entry. Payment goes through its e-payment gateway 2.
The e-Visa can be valid for up to 90 days. It can be single or multiple entry, and use is limited to border gates designated by the government 2.
Checks before payment
If another website charged you
Check whether the government portal has an application and result. Do not rely only on a PDF sent by a private provider.
Ask the seller to identify its service fee separately. Contact your card issuer if the fee was hidden or the promised application was not filed. The official fee itself is non-refundable after refusal 2.
